Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using the services provided by Love Yves, a bridal hair and makeup company (referred to as "I," "me," or "my"), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before booking or using my services.

1. Services Offered
  • I provide professional hair and makeup services, including trials, on-location services for weddings, and additional beauty services for bridal parties, guests, and attendants. These services may be provided solely by me or by independent contractors, depending on the scope of your booking. Specific details of services can be found on my Services Page

2. Booking and Payments
  • The individual signing this agreement ('the Client') accepts full financial responsibility for all payments, including the total cost of booked services, any additional services requested, and applicable fees for late cancellations, no-shows, or schedule changes. The Client acknowledges that they are liable for the full balance, regardless of any individual member’s failure to attend or pay their portion.

  • Booking Fee: Upon booking, a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee of the quoted services is required to secure your wedding date. 

  • Deposit Policy: If any services are removed before the specified date, the 50% deposit for those services remains non-refundable. Additional services can be added at any time.

  • Final Payment: The remaining 50% of your payment is due 14 days before your wedding day. Once the remaining balance is paid, services cannot be removed or refunded. Any additions will be billed prior to the start of each service.

  • Additional Services: if additional individuals require hairstyling or makeup services on the wedding day, these services will be provided if time allows and billed separately from the original invoice. Pre-payment required.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
  • Cancellation by Client:  If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 14 days before your scheduled appointment.

    • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

    • Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation by Me: If I am unable to provide services due to an emergency, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, I will make every effort to provide a suitable alternative or refund your deposit. If I hire a contractor for your event, I will provide their services as a replacement or attempt to find another contractor to meet your needs.​

  • Reschedule: I will transfer the booking fee to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability. If I am unavailable, the fee can be used for another event or a makeup/hair lesson within 12 months.

  • Force Majeure: if unforeseen circumstances arise beyond my control (e.g., illness, natural disasters, severe weather), I will make every effort to transfer your booking to another qualified artist. If no alternative is available, a full refund will be provided.

4. Fees
  • Clients who arrive late for their appointment may be subject to a late fee of $20 per 15 minutes. If the delay impacts other scheduled clients, I reserve the right to shorten or cancel the appointment.

  • Travel Fee: I offer complimentary travel within a 15-minute radius of my location (159th St and Fraser Hwy). For travel beyond this radius, a $50 fee will apply for every additional 30 minutes of travel.

    • Example: If the travel is 30 minutes from my location, which is 10 minutes beyond the complimentary radius, the $50 travel fee will apply, as it's within the first 30-minute increment.​

  • Parking Fee: Clients are responsible for parking fees if free parking is not available. Valet parking fees at hotels must also be covered by the client.

  • Assistant Fee: For bookings requiring 4 or more services, I will need to hire assistants. The appropriate travel fees will apply for any additional artists hired.

  • Early Start Fee: An early start fee of $50 per artist applies if the services begin before 6:30 am or if travel requires departure before 6:00 am.

5. Refunds
  • Competed Services: I do not provide refunds for services already rendered. Any concerns should be addressed during the session.

6.Visual Documentation
  • I may take photos before, during, and after the service for promotional purposes or to assist with future styling. These images may be used on my website, social media, and other marketing materials. If you prefer not to have your photos used, please informe me in advance.

7. Client Responsibilities
  • Hair and Skin: Clients are expected to arrive with clean, dry hair (unless otherwise agreed) and a clean face. For bridal trials, I recommend a trial run at least 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

  • Cooperation: Clients are expected to communicate openly regarding their preferences and concerns. I cannot be held responsible for dissatisfaction if proper instructions or information are not provided at the time of the appointment.

8. Liability Disclaimer
  • I take the utmost care in providing my services; however, I am not liable for any personal injury, allergic reactions, or dissatisfaction with the results. I recommend clients inform me of any allergies or skin sensitivities prior to the appointment.

  • If a contractor is involved in providing services, I am not liable for the work performed by the contractor. However, I will ensure that the contractor meets the professional standards expected.

  • I am not responsible for the longevity of the hair and makeup services once the event concludes, as environmental factors may affect the appearance.

  • Limitation of Liability: I do not disclaim liability for any acts of negligence, misconduct, or failure to comply with applicable health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulations.​

9. Health and Safety
  • Health Disclosure: Please inform me if anyone receiving services is unwell, showing symptoms of a contagious illness (e.g., respiratory infections, cold sores, conjunctivitis, or head lice), or has recently been exposed to such conditions.

  • Right to Decline Service: I reserve the right to decline services to anyone displaying visible symptoms of illness that could pose a health risk on the day of the event. Subsequently, I reserve the right to decline services to anyone with visible signs of head lice or other scalp conditions that may risk the hygiene of my tools and the safety of others.

  • Hygiene Practices: I adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols, ensuring all tools and products are clean and safe for use.

  • In the unlikely event that I am unable to provide services due to illness or a personal emergency, I will make every effort to arrange a suitable replacement. If no alternative is available, a full refund will be offered.

10. Indemnification

By booking my services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Love Yves, including myself and any contractors I may hire, from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of my services, including but not limited to those related to injuries, damages, or reactions.

11. Privacy Policy and Compliance

Privacy Compliance: I comply with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia to protect your personal information. Your personal data will only be used for the purposes of providing services and will be protected in accordance with the law. Please refer to my Privacy Policy for further details on how I collect, store, and use your data.

 

Consent: By providing your personal information, you consent to its collection and use as outlined in my Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to images, text, logos, and designs on the website, are the intellectual property of Love Yves and cannot be reproduced or used without prior written consent.

13. Amendments

I reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the revised date will be updated accordingly. By continuing to use my services, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms and Conditions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, including the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
